What sets Kris apart is his passion, his dedication to continuing education, and the fact that Kris has been there, done that, still doing it. When he started college, Kris weighed over 310lbs. His college business professor mentioned her little brother had a best-selling book, so Kris picked up a copy. In this book, “Core Performance," Mark Verstegen outlined specific nutrition and workout strategies, including the four pillars of fitness. These four pillars are at the core of the Four Pines Fitness philosophy. Kris applied these nutrition and fitness strategies and transformed his body in 2005. After graduating San Diego State University, Kris became a certified personal trainer.
Since 2007, Kris has developed a systematic, results-based approach to fitness which has helped hundreds of clients lose fat, move better, look better, gain confidence, and become functionally stronger. His clients range from age 11 to 79, professional athletes to super moms. Spend a minute in the gym with him and you will see, for Kris, this is not a job, this is his calling.

In 2003 Jennifer sustained a serious back injury and was out of work and couch-bound for over a month. Finally, she got some relief when her physical therapist had her walk back and forth in the shallow end of a pool. She realized staying still was probably the worst thing for her. This idea stuck- wellness through movement. We are meant to move.
Yoga became part of her healing process and her way to maintain a healthy back and body. She soon fell in love with the challenge of Vinyasa Yoga and earned her 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certification,and immediately started teaching yoga throughout the California Central Valley.
