Four Pines Fitness was founded by two fitness professionals who want to share their passion and knowledge with their community.  We are family owned and operated.  

Kris Martinez
Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Functional Strength Coach

What sets Kris apart is his passion, his dedication to continuing education, and the fact that Kris has been there, done that, still doing it.  When he started college, Kris weighed over 310lbs.  His college business professor mentioned her little brother had a best-selling book, so Kris picked up a copy.  In this book, “Core Performance," Mark Verstegen outlined specific nutrition and workout strategies, including the four pillars of fitness.  These four pillars are at the core of the Four Pines Fitness philosophy.  Kris applied these nutrition and fitness strategies and transformed his body in 2005.  After graduating San Diego State University, Kris became a certified personal trainer. 

Since 2007, Kris has developed a systematic, results-based approach to fitness which has helped hundreds of clients lose fat, move better, look better, gain confidence, and become functionally stronger.  His clients range from age 11 to 79, professional athletes to super moms.  Spend a minute in the gym with him and you will see, for Kris, this is not a job, this is his calling.
